Reddit hates everyone. Well, Reddit hates everyone with the exception of Keanu Reeves. How could anyone dislike someone whose name literally translates to “cool breeze over the mountains” in Hawaiian?
It does feel exceptionally fitting for him. He’s like a breath of fresh air in a world filled with so many celebrities who are vain, pretentious, and cruel. Reeves is one of the rare celebrities who has obtained a high level of success and still comes across as a humble and down-to-earth person, both online and in person.
Have you ever met someone who disliked him? I can say confidently that in my 25 years of life, I have yet to meet someone who dislikes him. Check out the subreddit called “r/keanubeingawesome” if you’re not convinced that society is obsessed with this actor.

Users on Reddit forums are often very critical of celebrities and do not hold back their harsh opinions. The fact that he has so many supporters on this page is quite telling in itself. He really hasn’t given the haters much to work with.
His fans can tell he genuinely enjoys his life, and the career choices he makes are usually encouraged rather than questioned. Fans know he wouldn’t be doing anything he didn’t actually want to do.
Because of this, they are happy to support him whether it’s going to see his band Dogstar play, watching him in John Wick, or listening to him as the voice of Shadow in the upcoming Sonic 3 movie.
He doesn’t need to do anything for the money, fame, or cool points; he chooses his jobs and hobbies simply because he enjoys them. This definitely plays a large part in his undeniable authenticity, which people love so much.
Despite facing a lot of tragedy in his life, Reeves has kept his kind nature and positive outlook on life. This is a very admirable quality of his, and many feel inspired and see him as a role model figure because of it.
Oftentimes, celebrities can seem out of touch with reality and just become unrelatable to normal people, but Reeves seems to have mastered the art of keeping it real. Or maybe, the art of staying human in the midst of Hollywood chaos.
