Reprising his viral role as Domingo from the now-viral Saturday Night Live skit “Bridesmaid Speech,” Marcello Hernandez made a surprise in-character appearance at Sabrina Carpenter’s Los Angeles Short ‘n Sweet tour stop in Los Angeles to get “arrested” by the Espresso singer.
Since the SNL episode featuring Ariana Grande aired, Domingo and his rendition of Carpenter’s hit song Espresso have dominated the internet’s collection consciousness, and, apparently, the character has been on Carpenter’s mind as well.
Carpenter’s A-List Arrests
Before performing her viral hit Juno—known for Carpenter’s playful moment where she strikes a new pose at the end of each show and cheekily asks, “Have you ever tried this one?”—Carpenter picks a fan from the crowd to “arrest” with fuzzy pink handcuffs, another fun reference to the song’s lyrics.
There have already been a few unexpected twists during these “arrests.”
During her Raleigh, NC show on Oct. 19, 2024, at the Lenovo Center, Carpenter arrested her boyfriend, actor Barry Keoghan. Then, at her Atlanta, GA show at the State Farm Arena on Oct. 22, 2024, the Please Please Please singer arrested Stranger Things actress Millie Bobby Brown.

But the most memorable arrests came during her LA show on Nov. 17, 2024. When the camera revealed who would be the lucky one to face the “arrest,” the crowd erupted into cheers.
The Viral Skit Meets a Viral Tour Moment
Dressed as Domingo—the handsome one-night stand that Kelsey (Chloe Fineman) fell in love with during her bachelorette trip—Hernandez played his character perfectly as Carpenter asked what his name was.
“My name’s Domingo,” Hernandez says, his voice smooth and confident. When Carpenter asks where he’s from, he grins and responds, “I’m from Miami, baby,” barely holding back laughter at how iconic and full-circle the whole moment felt.

Carpenter then asks Hernandez what he’s doing later, to which he cheekily references another one of her hits, Bed Chem, responding, “I’m the cute boy with the blue jacket and the thick accent, aye.”
When asked if he had any last words before she officially arrested him, Hernandez starts singing his part in SNL’s Espresso parody song, and the crowd instantly starts to sing along.
It didn’t take long for the video to go viral online.

SNL Brings Domingo Back For Another Skit
Domingo has had a busy weekend! The night before flying to California to make a surprise appearance at the Short ‘n Sweet show, Hernandez revived his now-iconic character in another Domingo skit for Charli XCX’s SNL episode.
The “Babymoon” skit shows the expecting couple from the “Bridesmaid’s Song” return and her former bridesmaids have another song to sing, but this time to the tune of Chappell Roan’s mega-hit HOT TO GO. This time, the trip takes them to Miami—Domingo’s hometown.
The song playfully suggests that Kelsey is unsure who the father of her child is, leading to an upset Matt (Andrew Dismukes) demanding to know when she last saw Domingo. Cue the surprise: Domingo appears at the baby shower and serenades Matt, proposing that they could raise the baby together in Miami.
Domingo is quickly shaping up to be one of SNL’s all-time great characters, and it’s only fitting that he’s made his way into the real world—thanks to a surprise cameo from one of today’s biggest pop stars.
