Billie Eilish and her brother Finneas have endorsed Kamala Harris and Tim Walz for the 2024 presidential election.

Echoing Taylor Swift’s endorsement late last week, the Oscar-Award-winning musician posted a reel to Instagram on National Voter Registration Day. They urged their followers and fans to register to vote. They also state their reasons behind backing Harris and Walz.

“We are voting for Kamala Harris and Tim Walz because they are fighting to protect our reproductive freedom, our planet, and our democracy,” Eilish says in the clip. “Vote like your life depends on it because it does.”

Finneas adds, “We can’t let extremists control our lives, our freedoms, and our future. The only way to stop them and the dangerous Project 2025 agenda is to vote and elect Kamala Harris.”

Billie Eilish Speaks Out Against Donald Trump

The 22-year-old pop star has been vocally against former President Donald Trump’s campaign and presidency since she was able to vote. Eilish spoke out at the Democratic National Convention in 2020 when she was 18, making her the youngest musician to perform at the event, saying Trump was a danger to the nation.

“You don’t need me to tell you things are a mess — Donald Trump is destroying our country and everything we care about,” Eilish said, according to Rolling Stone. “We need leaders who will solve problems like climate change and COVID[-19] — not deny them. Leaders who will fight against systemic racism and inequality. And that starts by voting for someone who understands how much is at stake; someone who is building a team that shares our values.”

Former President Candidate Supports Pop Star Endorsements

In a recent interview, Hillary Clinton spoke in support of celebrity endorsements during the election. Not only did endorsements help Kalama Harris become the Democratic nominee after many spoke out against President Joe Biden’s age, but Clinton said that Swift specifically “brings an unusual impact to an endorsement.”

“Her fanbase is so intense and incredibly influenced by her,” Clinton explained. “She’s a singer who charts the course of her life which they relate to as their own lives, but she’s also someone who stood up to a guy who groped her and stood up to get her music back from someone she thought had illegitimately had taken it from her. She has demonstrated a resilience in taking control over her own life that sends a strong message. I’m a huge admirer. I think [her endorsement] has real impact.”

Former President Donald Trump has not spoken out against Eilish’s endorsement as he did with Swift, but his administration probably isn’t thrilled that two of the biggest pop stars in the world are backing his opponent.
