I’ve been a fan of The Bachelor and The Bachelorette for years. But The Golden Bachelorette is bringing something uniquely enjoyable this season.

Instead of the usual reality-show competition vibe, it feels more like a supportive community rallying around Joan’s journey. Unlike the influencer-chasing dynamic that’s taken over with younger contestants, here we have a cast that genuinely seems unfamiliar with the franchise’s fame machine—and likely didn’t sign themselves up in the first place!

As we reach the final trio of contestant bachelors, it’s time to talk predictions on who Joan will choose in the end.

First up, Pascal.

He’s been one of my favorites from the beginning. He’s got this infectious spirit, always sharing stories that reveal a zest for life. Joan’s energy visibly shifts around him.

There’s a playfulness in their interactions, and it’s easy to see how he makes her feel revived. And let’s be honest, his French accent has a certain je ne sais quoi. Plus, he’s apparently the guy with the most friends in the mansion—definitely a green flag.

Still, despite my affection for Pascal, I don’t think he’ll go all the way. Their connection, while sweet, lacks the depth she seems to have with the other two.

Next we have Guy.

To be honest, I’m surprised he made it this far. Early on, he faded into the background. But sure enough, he’s been steadily winning me…er, Joan over.

In hindsight, I think it was that sweet moment when Captain Kim wanted to perform a song he wrote with all of the men called The Mansion Men.

While everyone else seems hesitant, Guy jumps in, singing right in front of Joan. It was one of those gestures that just felt genuine—a mix of confidence and kindness as I think he didn’t want Captain Kim to feel discouraged.

My bet? Guy’s going to be the runner-up.

Chock Chappel

Finally, we have Chock, my pick for Joan’s final rose.

From the beginning, the two had a strong emotional bond. He also shows up for her consistently in her moments of vulnerability. His return to the show after the loss of his mother demonstrates his dedication to Joan; he clearly doesn’t want to miss his chance with her.

With his thoughtful nature and calm presence, I’d be surprised if Joan didn’t feel the same. My guess? Engagement by the end of the season.

Final Episode of The Golden Bachelorette

Whatever the outcome, watching this season unfold has been a joy, and I can’t wait to see how it all wraps up!

You can catch The Golden Bachelorette on ABC tonight at 8 p.m. PST or stream it on Hulu.
