Actor Larmorne Morris shared a touching moment with his daughter after winning an Emmy for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a LImited or Anthology Series or Movie at the 76th Annual Emmy Awards ceremony.

The “New Girl” alum shared a TikTok video of him handing his Emmy statuette to his 4-year-old daughter, Lily. Unfortunately, the statue was too heavy for Lily to hold on her own, prompting her to make an adorable comment, “I can’t hold it because I’m too little.”

Morris Shouts Out His Daughter In Acceptance Speech

Morris shouted out Lily during his acceptance speech for his performance in Season 5 of “Fargo,” beating out fellow nominees Jonatha Bailey, Robert Downey Jr., Tom Goodman-Hill, Lewis Pullman, and Treat Williams to earn his first-ever Emmy.

“I want to thank God for allowing me to be here. I also want to thank God for my beautiful mother, who raised me,” he said, before joking, “She’s been my biggest champion ever since, you know- I came out of- I dropped out of her… her butt, whatever. I know where babies come from.”

He then spoke directly to his daughter, teasing, “I love you. I told you I would do it, you always doubted me. I’m your hero.”

Lily has been part of Morris’s awards season journey from the beginning. He shared a video of himself learning that he had been nominated for the award in August. As he teared up over the accomplishment, Lily openly mocked him on video.

In the TikTok video, the pair is sitting down at a table when Morris burst into tears. This prompted Lily to ask, “Daddy, are you crying again?”

Despite the jokes, the video captures a very enduring moment between the actor and his young daughter as he acknowledges his big emotions. In the caption, Morris wrote, “When I got the call about the Emmy nomination, my daughter thought it would be great to make fun of me.”

After his Emmy win, Morris celebrated the win with his former “New Girl” costars, who took to social media to praise Morris for his performance and long career in TV.

“Never a doubt in my mind,” wrote Hannah Simone, who played Cece. “So proud of my former roommate and forever work brother.”

Max Greenfield, who starred as Schmidt, echoed Simone’s praise by reposting the announcement of Morris’s win with a crown emoji. Zooey Deschanel wrote in an Instagram comment section, “So proud of you!!!!” and Jake Johnson commented, “Deserved man. congrats.”
