Paramore lead singer Hayley Williams joins Billie Eilish and Taylor Swift in addressing her feelings about former president Donald Trump.

The “Still Into You” singer bluntly addresses her feelings about the Republican presidential candidate during the band’s performance at the iHeartRadio Music Festival in Las Vegas.

Hayley Williams Has Choice Words for Trump

During the Hulu live stream of the event, Williams addressed the camera directly as she made her feelings for the former president clear.

“Project 2025 is Donald Trump’s playbook for controlling and punishing women, poor people, people of color, and the LGBTQ+ community. It is time for all Americans to band together and to finally defeat the Trump agenda,” Williams says. “And the only way to do that is by confronting him at the polls.”

The Paramore co-founder shared her views during the performance on the sign “Big Man, Little Integrity.”

Williams’s comments come a week after Swift endorsed Democratic nominee Kamala Harris. Like the singer that the band had recently toured with on the European leg of The Era’s Tour, Williams encouraged her fans to show up and vote.

“Do you want to live in a dictatorship?” Williams asked the audience. “Well, show up and vote.”

What Is Project 2025

Created by the conservative Heritage Foundation, Project 2025 lays out a plan that allows a President to execute a lengthy list of conservative policy goals that would roll back protections for many Americans.

Trump has tried to distance himself from the conservative policy proposals, but CNN notes that many of Project 2025’s priorities align with his political views and aspirations, such as purging federal bureaucracies and eliminating the Department of Education.

Williams Speaks Out Openly About Her Politics

Williams has never been shy about speaking out about politics. Earlier this year, Williams and her band members criticized the Republican-controlled Tennessee House of Representatives after lawmakers passed a resolution that failed to honor the queer Black singer-songwriter Allison Russell for her Grammy win while it honored Paramore for winning its Grammy.

“The blatant racism of our state leadership is embarrassing and cruel,” Williams told Entertainment Weekly in a statement at the time.

In response, the band declined the Tennessee House’s recognition until Russell’s win was agreed to be recognized.
